INCLEMENT WEATHER INFORMATION OHSU remains open regardless of weather conditions. Only the President or his designee may alter the normal operations of the university due to weather conditions. Changes in the normal operations of the academic units must be cleared through the Provost. OHSU's inclement weather policy is available on the internet at http://ozone.ohsu.edu/policy/pac/chapt_3/3-30-080.htm.
Employees at OHSU Portland Campus The university will provide notification of university closures via the university's weather hotline: 503 494-9021. Employees are expected to make every reasonable effort to be at work during their scheduled work hours. If weather-related situations cause them to miss work, they may use vacation or compensatory time, or leave without pay. If employees make every reasonable effort to come to work and, due to inclement weather, arrive late but within two hours of their scheduled time, they will not lose pay or be required to use vacation or compensatory time. If employees choose to leave work early because of weather conditions, they must use leave or vacation or compensatory time. View the Human Resources guide for more information, http://ozone.ohsu.edu/hr/docs/emp_inclement_weather.pdf. Faculty members are asked to inform their students about OHSU inclement weather policies and SoN inclement weather procedures. Any faculty member assigned to teach a clinical course is asked, during a period of inclement weather, to place a voice-mail greeting on her/his office telephone number by 6:00am on the day of the clinical to give instructions to students about the class schedule. Additional information: Information about OHSU's inclement weather policy and procedures also is available on the O-zone at http://www.ohsu.edu/about/inclement.html and on the Ozone at http://ozone.ohsu.edu/news/weather/guidelines.shtml.
