Inclement Weather Information for Portland Students
The university will provide notification of university closures via the university's weather hotline: 503 494-9021.
If the School of Nursing has a late opening due to inclement weather, courses will begin at 10:00a.m., as follows:
- A class which normally ends by 10:00a.m. is cancelled for the day.
- A class which normally begins at or after 10:00a.m. is held as usual.
- A class which normally begins before 10:00a.m. and ends after 10:00a.m. will begin at 10:00a.m. and end at its normal time.
School of Nursing clinical courses may or may not be affected by inclement weather. Students should check with their clinical instructor if in doubt about clinical activities due to inclement weather. (See information for Employees for faculty teaching a clinical course.)
If classes are canceled or delayed, employees, residents and students who have patient care responsibilities must meet these obligations.
