Welcome to the Graduate Nursing Senate Web Page!

OHSU School of Nursing graduate students formed the Graduate Nursing Senate (GNS) in 2006. All OHSU School of Nursing graduate students are members – no membership fees! The GNS has the following three purposes.

1. To be the unified voice for OHSU School of Nursing (SON) graduate students by establishing and maintaining formal communication between the graduate student body and the SON faculty and administration as well as the OHSU Student Council.

2. To promote professional development, networking and social interaction among the various graduate programs within the SON. The GNS will host social, educational and professional development events as well as fund individuals; groups and organizations that wish to provide services to the graduate student body.

3. To develop programs and provide support for students’ transitions into graduate school and the transition from graduate school into professional practice.

GNS is assisting with hosting an Open House as a Congradulation Graduates on June 2, 2008

GNS will have upcoming meetings in Winter 2008 and Spring 2008. An email will be sent regarding upcoming meetings. All students are welcome!

GNS will host a Welcome Back Free Breakfast on Tuesday January 15, 2008 from 08:00am to Noon. Location to be announced via email.
