OHSU Serving Oregon’s Counties

Oregon Health & Sciences University's commitment to improve health and well-being is felt throughout the entire 96,000 square miles of Oregon and beyond.

As a tertiary care center, the OHSU Health System serves patients from every county in the state at OHSU Hospital, Doernbecher Children's Hospital, the Child Development and Rehabilitation Center, and dozens of primary care and specialty clinics. Many of these services are offered only by OHSU. OHSU provides more care to low-income patients than any other health care system in Oregon and more than twice the state's average.

OHSU's research activities also touch the lives of every Oregonian. The university's scientists are dedicated to finding new solutions to the prevention, detection, treatment and cure of disease. In fact, on average, OHSU's research community discovers a new innovation every seven days.
