Maria Gilson Sistrom, M.S.N., R.N.
"My passion and calling in nursing is in public health. I’ve worked for approximately 20 years in public health practice and research on the “street” level, in mid- and upper-level management positions at the county, regional and state levels. My work has varied from outbreak investigation to hand washing and bioterrorism. It has been my recent pleasure to bring this rich practice to bear in teaching and I am greatly enjoying employing the case study methodology in the graduate and undergraduate nursing programs to inspire a new generation of nurses."
