Rural Health The SON directs two school-based health centers, one in a rural area of Eastern Oregon and the other in urban Portland. Both centers reflect the unique needs of the catchment area and are financially supported by the local community through grants or direct monies from the Board of Education. We also direct two Rural Health Clinics in Eastern Oregon which each provide the only primary health care services to a tri-county catchment area. The financial support for these efforts has been fostered through intensive leadership and business training of faculty, improved community planning and support, and innovative grant applications. Services/finances are evaluated. Rural Frontier Delivery Program at OHSU School of Nursing in Eastern Oregon.
