Development
Services available from the Office of Practice Development include:
1. Consultation
a. Confidential group or individual services to examine possible opportunities for Practice Development within all venues.
b. Business Process review: assistance to examine methods of reimbursement, integration of clinical, business and customer service needs, and financial analysis in conjunction with Robert Woods, Financial Director of the School of Nursing. Business Planning.
c. Clinical and Health Services design including program and service delivery planning, individual and group intervention, quality assessment and monitoring. This may also include selection of health system methodologies to intervene at the population level, case management processes. Selective Staff training and development. Staff training and development.
d. Care Experience research and its application to clinical design and performance competencies of staff.
e. Best Practice adoption, processes and research.
2. Contracts Management
a. Definition of criteria for using contracts.
b. Selection of the correct documentation forms
c. Enactment of contract and internal audit processes for contract in conjunction with contract "owner".
d. Assistance with selection of good contractors. Coordination of practice plans.
3. Relationship Building with Community and Operational Leaders
a. Relationship building and maintenance of relationships that sustain opportunities for student placements, jobs, integration of research, and practice and education.
b. Relationship building and maintenance of relationships that sustain use of mature research in activities of every day practice.
4. Clinical Experience Design is offered in conjunction with core faculty to enrich student experiences.
