Over the years, the region's demand for quality nursing education stretched the limits of the nursing school's staff and space. OHSU's reputation for clinical and instructional excellence attracted more people to Portland. Soon creativity was required just to locate enough space to accommodate everyone. In 1992, the School of Nursing on the Portland campus proudly took up residence in a new and beautiful building that is an attractive center for teaching, learning, research and conferences. The school's intention of statewide outreach, community service, partnership and excellence is coordinated from this environment.

OHSU School of Nursing has four campuses in Oregon: Ashland, La Grande, Klamath Falls and Portland with the planned addition of Monmouth campus in Fall 2008. Students can attend the OHSU bachelor of science program in nursing at each of these campuses. Graduate programs are offered at campuses other than Portland when funding is available. In addition to the four Oregon campuses, the bachelor's program for RNs is delivered statewide, including to placebound students.
