How will society care for people, especially the sick and vulnerable, as daily living becomes more complex and dependent on technology? Some of the answers rest with nurse researchers, whose scientific contributions will lead to improvements in everyday practice. Nursing research impacts the lives of individuals and families across the lifespan and in all socioeconomic and ethnic groups. Oregon Health & Science University School of Nursing has one of the country's finest doctoral programs in nursing. Students from around the world come to study under the mentorship of internationally recognized faculty members. Our colleagues consistently rank us among the top U.S. Schools of Nursing for research and education. The goal of the postdoctoral program is to help doctorally-prepared nurses to launch independent research careers related to the nursing care of older populations, or risk assessment and intervention research. Our programs offer additional background in health disparities research.
