If you want to pursue further graduate education and you already have a master's degree in nursing, the School of Nursing offers the Post-Master's Certificate Option in most specialties.
These options allow you to expand your professional opportunities by adding another area of practice to your resume.
You can add to your credentials by qualifying for eligibility as a Nurse Practitioner or with a focus in Public Health. If you already hold credentials as a Nurse Practitioner or Clinical Nurse Specialist in one specialty, you can add other specialties to match your personal and career interests with market demands.
Most certificate options take an additional one to two years of specialty coursework and clinical hours. Depending on your interests, previous education and experience, post-master's certificate students can tailor the program to meet their specific needs.
