Applying to the Program

The OHSU School of Nursing uses an online application process; no paper applications are available.

The application is simple to use and has a great feature in that applicants are able to track their application progress. You will be able to see when items you've submitted, such as transcripts, have been received by the Admissions Office and when your application is considered complete and ready for review.

Preparing to Apply

Please gather and/or prepare the following materials for submitting your application; click on each link for detailed information:

Step 1: Review Application Deadlines

Step 2: Gather all Transcripts

Step 3: Request and gather Letters of Recommendation

Step 4: Request your Graduate Record Exam (GRE) scores be sent to OHSU

Step 5: Review the date of your last statistics course.

Note: Master's students must have successfully passed a statistics course with a grade of "B" or better within five years prior to the first quarter of the program whether the student is enrolled part- or full-time. The statistics course will not count toward the degree requirements in the student's program of study. MPH applicants must complete a statistics course with no expiration date for a grade of "C" or better.

Step 6: Prepare your résumé or curriculum vitae.

Note: Specific RN work experience is required of some applicants. Check the work experience requirments for the program in which you are interested.

Step 7: Review vital information about the American Nursing Association Code of Ethics, 2001 and how it pertains to your application status.
