ONLINE/DISTANCE LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES Bachelor's
Degree Program for Registered Nurses
Master of Public Health
Over the last year, the MPH program has undergone some significant changes. The MPH program has joined in a collaborative relationship with the OHSU Center for Health Disparities Research. The Center's projects are focused on community-based participatory research with diverse racial and ethnic groups and other underserved populations (e.g. rural poor). The mission of the Center is to use sustainable community-academic research collaborations to stimulate research and develop new knowledge focused on understanding and eventually eliminating disparities in health care and outcomes for urban and rural racial and ethnic minority and other underserved populations. The program has received approval to pilot three courses. They are tentatively titled Cultural Competence in Health and Healing, Community Based Participatory Research, and Policy Implications of Social Inequality & the Ethical Practice of Public Health. These courses are slated to be offered in Spring 2005. Please see the Web page dedicated to the Online Master of Public Health for more information. Please send questions about program information to proginfo@ohsu.edu. To learn more about how online/distance learning is delivered at OHSU School of Nursing, click here. |
