In addition to the required health service fee, all students are required to demonstrate proof of coverage with major medical insurance at levels required by the university and sign a statement agreeing to keep the insurance current during the enrollment period. The university offers an optional medical insurance plan available to students at an estimated cost of $625 to $760 for 2007-2008. Textbooks and Additional Supplies

The cost of textbooks and supplies varies depending on the program of study. Some programs may require a stethoscope, oto-ophthalmoscope and lab coat.

Portland
Since parking is scarce on the OHSU campus and student parking is discouraged, students are encouraged to take public transportation. OHSU provides a Tri-Met (MAX and buses) passes to students for a reduced fee. Day parking passes can be purchased for $10 per day from the parking department.
