Tuition and fees are subject to change each July and may be different than what appears in the OHSU Fee Book.

Tuition and Fees Per Quarter 2007/2008

Fees are determined and assessed per campus per term. Fees include: lab fee, building fees, incidental fees, NSNA dues, student activity fee, and a health service fee and major medical fee if necessary. To view tuition and fees go to the OHSU's Fee Book .

Residency

Please refer to the registrar’s office website regarding residency criteria. Applicants who reside in Oregon or undergraduate applicants who reside in one of the following states/counties may be eligible for in-state tuition and should read the residency policy for specific requirements. Determining eligibility for in-state tuition based upon residing in the following counties is subject to the same criteria used for determining Oregon residency. You may contact the registrar’s office with questions at 503-494-7800.

Washington State Counties: Pacific, Wahkiakum, Cowlitz, Clark, Skamania, Klickitat, Benton, Walla Walla, Columbia, Garfield, and Asotin.

California State Counties: Del Norte, Siskiyou, and Modoc.

Idaho State Counties: Nez Perce, Idaho, Adams, Washington, Payette, Canyon,and Owyhee.

Nevada State Counties: Washoe and Humboldt.

Applications for submission to this program must be accompanied by a $120 check made payable to OHSU.

Textbooks and Instructional Materials

The estimated cost of textbooks and instructional materials is $1,300 for the junior year and $1,300 for the senior year. The costs will vary depending on the course requirements and campus.

OHSU Staff Fee

All employees, halftime or more, of the Department of Higher Education and Oregon Health & Science University may qualify for staff fee privileges and receive reduced tuition. Some programs, including the post master's certificate option, master's and doctoral programs are not eligible. For further information, contact the employing supervisor.

Optional Costs

Major Medical

In addition to the required health service fee, all students are required to demonstrate proof of coverage with major medical insurance at levels required by the university and sign a statement agreeing to keep the insurance current during the enrollment period. The university offers an optional medical insurance plan available to students at an estimated cost of $625-$760 for 2007-2008. La Grande

Portland
Since parking is scarce on the OHSU campus and student parking is discouraged, students are encouraged to take public transportation. OHSU provides a Tri-Met (MAX and buses) passes to students for a reduced fee. Day parking passes can be purchased for $10 per day from the parking department.
