Academic Profile

The OHSU School of Nursing is a leader in the field with a mission of healing, teaching, and discovery. Our programs educate future nurses to achieve critical skills, utilize research in the clinical setting, and become leaders in the health system. With dynamic changes occurring within the field of nursing, students are required to do more with their education and take their nursing skills beyond the bedside. Students who make the commitment to attend the OHSU School of Nursing know that they will be challenged academically and personally to become nurse leaders in the field. Here, students are chosen for their desire to help, their commitment to learn, and their ability to think critically. These high standards pay off: the caliber of students in the program and their varied interests in their communities enrich the health care system for everyone.
