Leadership Resources

We will continually develop and edit the TALENT website information to promote programs and offer resources to assist faculty in achieving success in their careers. The Coordinator will maintain the women’s email group and utilize this method for disseminating information about women’s leadership opportunities and resources.

Career Development Conference Support

As part of TALENT, the Dean will provide funding to assist women faculty in leadership training through the AAMC and the Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine (ELAM) program. This is an important mechanism to help us train the next generation of women in academic medicine. The Dean will fund the ELAM tuition for one SOM candidate, with the understanding that the Department Chair and the candidate will share the remainder of the travel and registration expenses. Funding support for 4 women faculty to attend the AAMC Early Career Conference and 4 women to attend the Mid-Career conference will also be available provided the faculty have matching support from their respective department or divisions.
