Infectious Disease

 

The Pediatric Infectious Disease Service provides consultation for in-patients and out-patients with proven or suspected infections. The division helps manage patients in Oregon and southwest Washington through phone consultation. The division maintains active clinical research protocols for the treatment of resistant bacterial infections and of pediatric HIV and its comlications. Host defense and viral pathogenesis are under laboratory-based study.


The division has a staff of three full-time and two part-time Board Certified Pediatric Infectious Disease physicians and an R.N. clinical research coordinator.
