The Pediatric Infectious Disease Service provides consultation for inpatients and outpatients with proven or suspected infections. The division helps manage patients in Oregon and southwest Washington through phone consultation. The division maintains active clinical research protocols related to the treatment of serious pediatric infectious diseases.  Host defense to tuberculosis is under laboratory-based study.

The division has a staff of four full-time and two part-time Board Certified Pediatric Infectious Disease physicians and an R.N. clinical research coordinator.
