Immunology/Rheumatology

Pediatric Immunology provides consultative, clinical, and laboratory diagnostic and management services for infants and children with immuno-deficiency diseases. The division also treats children who show increased susceptibility to infections. Treatments include intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) and bone marrow transplants. This is the only program in Oregon with medical staff who are trained in pediatric immunodeficiency diseases and board certified in allergy and immunology.

Pediatric Rheumatology provides consultative, diagnostic, management, and rehabilitative care for children and adolescents with rheumatic diseases, such as juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, juvenile dermatomyositis, and the juvenile spondyloarthropathies. This is the only program in Oregon with a board-certified pediatric rheumatologist.
