Oregon Health & Science University offers an outstanding opportunity for graduate studies in the biomedical sciences. Over the last decade there has been a tremendous expansion of research programs at OHSU. The vigorous research programs and cutting edge research environment have created a unique opportunity for graduate education.
Graduate students are taught and mentored by a Graduate Faculty composed of more than 300 faculty scientists who are located in a variety of academic and research units within the medical school and university. The National Institutes of Health -- the single largest supporter of medical research in the nation -- ranks OHSU 33rd among the more than 2,800 institutions competing for research and training awards, and 28th among the 515 domestic higher education institutions receiving NIH dollars.
