ABOUT OHSU

OUR CLINICS

Overview

The OHSU Family Health Centers are the focal point of experience for the family medicine residents. We strive to provide a personal medical home for our patients and residents become the personal physician for a panel of patients.

We have three clinics where our residents have the opportunity to receive a broad range of clinical experiences.

Patients in all clinics represent diverse socioeconomic groups. Patients come to the centers from several sources, including self-referral, recommendations from patients and OHSU subspecialists. We provide continuity of care for our patients regardless of their location, be it in our clinics, in the hospital, in their home or at a nursing or assisted living facility.

Residents and Faculty serve as community partners with the Southwest Community Health Center, a free clinic developed to support an underserved district of the southwest Portland community. OHSU Family Medicine also provides care in a number of community settings including: Crestview Nursing Home, facilities for adolescent girls at risk ( Rosemont School for Girls,The Christie School, White Shield Home for Pregnant Women), Public Health Department Clinics ( Clackamas County), and sports medicine venues ( Portland State University and local high schools). These activities are examples of how our program reaches out to provide accessible health care to our community.
