APPLICATION INFORMATION

How to Apply

We have filled all our slots for 2008-9.

We accepts first-year residents only through the National Resident Matching Program. (NRMP).

In addition, applications must be completed through the Electronic Residency Application System. (ERAS)

For All Applicants

  • Deadline for applications is November 1, 2007
  • Only ERAS Applications will be accepted
  • Three letters of recommendation required (one from a family physician preferred)
  • Personal Statement: We have no specific requirements but would like to hear why you are choosing family medicine and possibly why Portland

Additional Information for International Medical Graduates

  • You must have a valid ECFMG certificate
  • Participate in the NRMP
  • We only accept J1 visas
  • Passing scores on the USMLE
  • Pass the CSA
  • We only accept applications through ERAS
  • U.S. Clinical experience is helpful, but not required unless it has been more than two years since the date you graduated from medical school
