OHSU Family Medicine
William Toffler, M.D.
Bill received his M.D. degree from the Medical College of Virginia in 1976. He completed his residency in family medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina in 1979. He served on the faculty at that facility before joining a private practice in Sweet Home, Oregon. While in private practice Dr. Toffler served OHSU as part-time faculty. In 1985 Bill assumed a full-time faculty position as director of family practice patient care services. He became Director of Predoctoral Education in 1988. Bill is a Professor, who sees his patients at the Emma Jones Hall Family Health Center. He has been involved in sport and aviation medicine and is a medical activist with a strong interest in defending the ethic that all human life is inherently valuable.
