OHSU Family Medicine

Kathryn Chappelle, M.A. Kathryn graduated in 1975 with a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Oregon and a B.A. in Education and English from Portland State University in 1982. She taught high school English and French for several years in the communities of Seaside, Oregon; Estacada, Oregon; and Battleground, Washington. She went on to earn an M.A. in English Language and Literature from the University of Chicago, where she took a position in the Department of Continuing Education as publications editor and curriculum administrator. She came to the OHSU School of Medicine Dean's Office in 1992, where she played a key role in the development of the innovative Principles of Clinical Medicine curriculum and acted as the PCM course administrator. She was appointed to the faculty of the Department of Family Medicine in 1998 as Instructor and Director of Curriculum Development in. Her personal interests include writing, bicycling, and Jungian psychology.
