At OHSU, we provide our students access to professional meetings, social gatherings, and opportunities to explore the dental profession with members of the profession within our community. Bi-monthly, ASDA presents to the student body with “Lunch-and-Learns” that include presentations from different dental industries, not limited to consulting, laboratories, practice management, scholarship opportunities, loupe suppliers, etc… Lunch is provided during these presentations that take place during the noon hour.

At our national and tri-regional meeting, ASDA leaders from across the country come together and vote on issues that protect and benefit us not only as students, but as future professionals. Some of these issues include recruitment of dental school faculty, dental licensure, managing student debt and relationships with local dental societies.

We have many fundraising and volunteer activities throughout the year at OHSU, including participating in local health fairs, Give Kids A Smile, Habitat for Humanity, Pedo Care Fund, and our largest fundraiser, the Exhibitors Fair.

ASDA is a supportive and informative group that advocates for the student body. Our organization is only as strong as its members, and at OHSU we have 100% membership. This means one thing: the ASDA team at OHSU is a winning and strong group of professional students!
