Case #1:

67 year old man presented with: 2 cm diameter, brown crusted ulcer with a rolled border on the dorsum of the nose.

A reasonable clinical differential Dx:


Case #2:

3 year old woman with: a 0.8 cm delineated radiolucency involving the apex of endodontically treated tooth #7.

A reasonable radiographic differential Dx:


Case #3:

28 year old man with: a 0.6 cm diameter pale submucosal nodule in the left anterior floor of the mouth.

A reasonable clinical Dx:


Case #4:

This 51 year old black woman has: A 1.5 cm diameter delineated radiopacity at the apex of #22 and a 1.8 cm circumscribed radiolucency at the apex of #27.

A reasonable radiographic differential Dx:

*Tooth vitality would be useful


Case #5:

This young boy has dental hypoplasia and during treatment: He was noted to have a normal colored gurgulio (uvula) that was forked appearing. Slide #4 is of his brother who appears to also have a similar uvuliar tendency.

A reasonable clinical Dx:

This is the mildest expression of cleft palate and has similar tendencies of occurrence.


Case #6:

This 37 year old man has: A 2 cm white pebbly area on the left buccal mucosa.

A reasonable clinical differential Dx:

This is a lesion of blastomycosis (c/o Dr. Chuck Tomich) he also has a cutaneous lesion shown in the second picture.
