Education and Background:

Terry D. McDonald received his D.D.S. (1961) and, M.S. in Orthodontics (1967) from Universitiy of Michigan. He joined the department as a part-time Assistant Professor in 2003.

Teaching & Professional Affiliations:

Dr. Terry McDonald is a part-time clinical assistant professor, leading seminars and supervising patient care in the graduate orthodontic program. He maintains a private practice in Salem, OR. Dr. McDonald has been past president of the following organizations: Marion-Polk-Yamhill Dental Society, Mid-Valley Independent Practice Association, Oregon State Society of Orthodontists, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists and the Northwest Component of Edward H. Angle Society. Terry has also been past chairman of the Oregon State Board of Dentistry Specialty Examination in Orthodontics, and the Council of Communications of the American Association of Orthodontists. He was the recipient of the PCSO Award of Merit in 1997, and received the AAO James E. Brophy Distinguished Service Award in 2004.
