Cindy joined the faculty of OHSU School of Dentistry in September 2005.  She is an associate professor in the Department of Pathology and Radiology.  She has an active clinical practice focused on diseases of the oral mucosa, non-odontogenic head and neck pain and salivary gland dysfunction.  She also practices in the OHSU Oral Pathology Biopsy Service.

Cindy earned her D.D.S. degree from the University of Colorado in 1990.  She then completed a one-year General Practice Residency at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Denver, Colorado and became a Fellow in the American Association of Hospital Dentists.  Prior to pursuing specialty training, she associated in a general dental practice and was Clinical Instructor in the Department of Oral Diagnostic Sciences at the University of Colorado School of Dentistry.  She completed the Advanced Education Program in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and an M.S. degree in Stomatology at the University of Iowa in 1995.  Upon completion of her training, she joined the faculty of the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry.  In 1996 Cindy returned to the University of Iowa where she was on the faculty for nine years and was Director of the Advanced Education Program in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology.

Cindy is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology.  She has presented numerous CE courses primarily on clinical aspects of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology.  Her research has focused on diseases of the oral mucosa.

In her free time, Cindy enjoys hiking, skiing, going to concerts and plays and, most of all, hanging out with her Italian Greyhounds, Lilli and Gina.
