SUCCESS AND FAILURE OF NON-SURGICAL ENDODONTICS

Objectives: After reading the articles in this section the graduate student should be able to (with appropriate citation of the literature)
1.  List and describe the factors that influence the prognosis of non surgical endodontic treatment.
2.  Describe a successful non-surgical endodontic case based on   clinical signs, symptoms, radiographs, and length of time, post treatment.
3.  State the range of expected prognosis of root canal treatment in “routine” cases.
4.  Discuss the recall interval periods required to determine success or failure.
