DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS OF NON-ENDODONTIC PAIN
SPRING, 2008

OBJECTIVES: The purpose of this seminar is to introduce the student to the principles of diagnosing and treating pain in the head and neck region that is of non-endodontic origin.

SPECIFIC LEARNING OBJECTIVES:  upon completion of this seminar the student will be able to:

  • Differentiate between pain of endodontic and non-endodontic origin.
  • Differentiate between vascular, neurologic, muscular, stress, psychiatric, oclussal, and neoplastic pain phenomenon.
