ANATOMY OF THE PULP AND PERIAPEX, FALL 2007

OBJECTIVES

After completion of the seminar, the resident  should;

  • be able to develop a rationale for where to terminate a root canal fill.
  • be able to develop a rationale for where to resect a root end.
  • be familiar with the “normal” apical anatomy.
  • be familiar with some of the changes in apical anatomy that occur with age and pathology.
  • be familiar with the basic embryology of the pulp.
