Teaching

Department faculty are responsible for teaching courses in the undergraduate dental curriculum, the graduate specialty programs and the graduate program. The first three courses in dental materials are introductory, 1.0 credit lecture courses that are integrated into the curriculum of the Divisions of Operative Dentistry and Fixed Prosthodontics during the first year. The second course in dental materials is a 2.0 credit didactic course taught in the third year of the dental curriculum. A 3 credit didactic course in advanced dental materials is taught to the graduate certificate students in Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry during their first year of residency.
