Protocol T: A Comparative Effectiveness Study of Intravitreal Aflibercept, Bevacizumab and Ranibizumab for Diabetic Macular Edema

Study Purpose

The primary objective of the proposed research is to compare the efficacy and safety of (1) intravitreal aflibercept, (2) intravitreal bevacizumab, and (3) intravitreal ranibizumab when given to treat central-involved DME in eyes with visual acuity of 20/32 to 20/320.

Medical Condition(s)

Diabetic macular edema (DME)

Eligibility Criteria

1. Age ≥ 18 years
2. Diagnosis of diabetes mellitus (type 1 or type 2)
3. At least one eye meets certain study eye criteria such as vision being 20/32-20/320 & having central involved DME

Age Range

18 - 100
