Cerebrospinal Fluid Biomarker Discovery

Study Purpose

1. To compare CSF biomarker profiles from healthy individuals and individuals with Alzheimer's Disease and Parkinson's disease.
2. To examine the longitudinal stability of CSF biomarkers in the same subjects.
3. To identify novel CSF biomarkers for use in clinical research.

Medical Condition(s)

Alzheimer's Disease, Parkinson's Disease, healthy aging

Eligibility Criteria

Age 55-80, willing to complete lumbar puncture, willing to give blood, willing to complete memory testing, must have study partner, not taking Coumadin, Warfarin or other blood thinner.

Age Range

55 - 90

12 months, 4 visits (last 2 visits optional)
