Title

A Phase II Study of BKM120 in Men with Metastatic Castration-Resistant Prostate Cancer

Study Purpose

The purpose of the study is learn more about the study drug (BKM120) in patients who have advanced, metastatic prostate cancer. We will study the side effects, safety, effectiveness, length of survival without disease progression, and effects on body chemistry.

Prostate

Eligibility Criteria

* Subjects should have had at least one prior systemic chemotherapy regimen FDA approved for metastatic prostate cancer or be unable or unwilling to recieve chemotherapy
* Subjects should have radiographic evidence of metastatic disease (disease that has spread outside the prostate)
* Subjects should have evidence of disease progression on hormone therapy
* Subjects should have no history of severe anxiety, depression, or other mood disorders
* Subjects should have no current severe and/or uncontrolled cardiac conditions which could compromise participation in the study
