You may have recently received information about using the Community of Science (COS) funding database. Effective August 1, we changed
our institutional funding alert system to take advantage of our new grants management system, InfoEd, which provides the same services along
with the electronic grants application program.
InfoEd's SPIN function is a lot like COS. It allows you to perform simple term searches and advanced searches for funding opportunities.
The attached document gives step-by-step instructions for using InfoEd SPIN to find funding.
Our InfoEd program will also have, in the near future, a function called GENIUS that allows you to set up a targeted funding alert system.
It will notify you when opportunities are posted. We will send you an announcement when that feature is available. The GENIUS function will
also allow you to set up a profile, biosketches and find research expertise.
If you need help using InfoEd to find funding, e-mail us at funding@ohsu.edu.
If you have other InfoEd-related questions, please contact RGC at
rgcfaq@ohsu.edu (RGC Questions) or (503) 494-8923.
An on-line training manual for InfoEd is also available on the Research Grants & Contracts InfoEd help
page http://www.ohsu.edu/research/rda/rgc/trainingop.shtml.
