Anything we discuss in a consultation remains strictly confidential.
We are available to meet with researchers to discuss project plans and potential strategies and techniques for identifying funding for research projects. Meeting one-on-one or in small groups is preferred to discussing projects over the phone or via e-mail.
Meeting in person with Research Funding & Development staff ensures that we have a clear understanding of your project, its objectives, and its financial needs, which will facilitate in identifying the best funding sources for the project. Meeting in person also provides an opportunity to search grant databases together and focus on the most relevant resources.

We can meet with you to help you critique and edit your proposal. We'll go over the proposal in detail to discuss its logic, structure,
and language, with the long-term goal of strengthening your grant-writing skills. Meeting in person ensures that we understand your
project and its goals-and it allows you to learn more. Our goal is to help train you to be a better writer and thinker. Individual
consultations are at no cost to you. However, if you strictly seek editing services, we provide that service on an hourly fee-for-service
basis (see below for details). For additional services, please visit
the Educational Offerings webpage.
Do you simply need editing without the training? If your primary need is
editing rather than training, please click here
to link to our editing service request form.
