Shared Decision Making
ORPRN is currently working on a study sponsored by the Foundation for Informed Medical Decision Making to enhance informed patient choice by integrating patient decision aids into rural primary care clinics: http://informedmedicaldecisions.org/oregon-rurual.html
Our first step was to survey clinicians affiliated with ORPRN Member Clinics in Fall 2009 regarding their perceptions and use of shared decision making and decision aids in rural primary care. We are excited to share the key findings from this survey with you.
