Participatory Action Research (PAR) methodology values involvement of all stakeholders. A meaningful partnership between consumers and investigators is essential to valid research outcomes that emphasize individual and group empowerment, as well as pertinent practice to influence system change. University Centers of Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDDs) rely on collaborative relationships with consumers to meet research, training, and service goals.
