Did you know?

Synthetic oligos are single stranded with hydroxyl groups (not phosphates) at both termini. To form a duplex with the complement: simply add equimolar amounts to the your buffered solution, heat to well over the Tm and allow to cool on the bench. Store cold.

Synthesis Services

  • Primer scale (40 nmole) deoxyoligo: $1/base plus process fee ($10 standard, desalted)
  • Large scale (200 nmole) deoxyoligo: $2/base plus process fee ($10 standard, desalted)
  • Venti scale (1000 nmole) deoxyoligo: $5/base plus process fee ($10 standard, desalted)
  • siRNA: $1/base plus process fee ($59 standard, desalted)
  • Discounts of up to 50% for batch orders
  • The only extra charge for labels, e.g. fluorescent dyes, and other modifications (e.g., biotin, phosphate, quenchers) is the cost of the special reagent.

FAQ

Standard synthesis products are purified on a sephadex column and quantified by UV absorbance. Note, that there is a hydroxyl (OH) on both termini.

Labels and other modifications

We can incorporate anything available as a reagent for an automated synthesizer. No additional charge besides the cost of the reagent. No additional charge for mixed base (degenerate) oligos either.

    Examples

  • Fluoresecent labels, both 5' and internal: Cyanine dyes, Fluorescein, Epoch "Black Hole" quencher dyes, etc.
  • 2'-OMe and 2'-F -RNA
  • Linked-nucleic-acid probes with higher Tm for improved mismatch discrimination
  • on-machine esterification (coupling rx) of any NHS-labels amenable to CEP-solid-phase synthesis cycles using FMOC-amino-modifier C6-dT

Scheduling

FIFO, but most are ready the next day. If you need them in the morning, mark them as "Rush".
