Guides and FAQs

OHSU strives to provide OHSU employees with the convenience of remote access to pertinent OHSU systems and data. Criteria for receiving remote access may include the following:

  1. The employee's individual job function and duties (roles-based)
  2. Access to these systems is currently provided internally (e.g., remote access becomes a secondary, additional method of systems access)
  3. the remote access request does not fall into one of the exceptions categories
  4. the employee has received his or her direct management approval

OHSU provides remote computing to specific applications or systems to Non-OHSU Employees under the following conditions

  • Department-specific applications, including clinical, research or educational applications
  • IS/IT systems, where development, maintenance or support needs require access

Non-OHSU individuals should discuss remote computing with their OHSU contact. The OHSU contact is responsible for maintaining a record of non-OHSU entities granted remote access. This record should be periodically reviewed to ensure access meets the contractual agreement.

Vendors: Work with your OHSU contact and pertinent applications/systems owners for new user access to applications and systems already accessible remotely.
