| The information contained within OHSU’s webpage is updated each year to provide you with information on security related services offered by the OHSU Department of Public Safety in compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act. The pages summarize programs, policies and procedures designed to enhance your personal and property safety while at OHSU. Oregon Health and Science University and the associated off campus clinics have a work force and student population in excess of 10,000. The OHSU Hospitals, Trauma Center and Clinics experience patient and visitor populations in excess of a half-million each year. OHSU is located in the West Hills area of downtown Portland with direct access to the major interstate and transit systems. OHSU experiences the same type of calls for law enforcement and First Responder assistance as any other part of the Portland Metropolitan area. Crimes are reported on a 24 hour basis directly to the Department of Public Safety and if needed the Portland Police Bureau is called for assistance on the main campus. The Hillsboro Police Department assists when needed at the West campus. The Department of Public Safety considers the security and safety of all persons at all locations a priority and furnishes this information in an effort to enhance your personal and property safety while at OHSU.
