Before joining OHSU, Dr. Peters was Associate Professor of Statistics
at Oregon State University in Corvallis, OR, where she conducted
methodological research and taught undergraduate and graduate statistics
courses. She took a leave of absence from Oregon State University
in 2001, via a NIH K-25 Career Development Award, in order to pursue
a career shift toward medical research. Working at Kaiser Permanente
Center for Health Research (KPCHR) for two years, she collaborated
with investigators on a variety of projects and conducted research
in randomization for clinical trials. She joined the Division of Biostatistics, OHSU Department of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, in 2003 and serves as one of the biostatisticians for the Oregon Clinical and Translational Research Center. Her areas of interest include clinical
trial methodology and randomization techniques.
