Clinical & Academic Interests:
Thomas Albert Passmore, D.O., joined the faculty of the Department of Psychiatry in 1998.
Dr. Passmore obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of California in 1989,
and graduated from Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1994.
He completed his general psychiatry training at OHSU in 1998 and is board-certified
in general psychiatry.
Dr. Passmore is an attending on the Acute Crisis Ward, and he is Medical Director of the Intercultural
Psychiatric Program. He teaches and supervises general psychiatry residents and medical students.
He also has a large outpatient practice, focusing mostly on mood disorders.
Dr. Passmore's special areas of interest include the interface between psychiatry and
cultural issues, PTSD and neuroimaging, seasonal affective disorder and schizophrenia research.
