Debra McMillen

Deb joined the PSR in January 2004 coming to OHSU from the Genomics and Proteomics laboratory at the University of Oregon in Eugene. Although the PSR lab is focused solely on mass spectrometric analysis of proteins, Deb brings to the lab her experience in N-terminal protein sequence analysis, peptide synthesis, amino acid composition analysis of proteins, HPLC and use of the Biacore X for binding studies. Her research interest includes improving methodologies for phosphoprotein analysis on the QTRAP4000 and the QSTAR.

For fun she enjoys travel, especially to Italy, and sea kayaking on Oregon's lakes and gentle rivers.
