California Governor Signs POLST Into Law August 4, 2008 Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger signed Assembly Bill 3000 into legislative law, ensuring that persons with a serious illness who complete a POLST form will have their end of life treatment preferences honored by health care professionals. National POLST Paradigm Initiative Task Force Newsletter (PDF)July 29, 2008 POLST TrainingJuly 23, 2008 Respecting Choices®, an Advance Care Planning Service based in LaCrosse, WI, is offering a new training program that will improve the skill of health care professionals in facilitating discussions to help patients or their surrogates make informed decisions when completing a POLST paradigm form. This new curriculum includes both a POLST paradigm facilitator training and an instructor certification.
