Biography

Dr. Meehan is a native of Boston. She is a graduate of Barnard College where she received a BA in Economics, magna cum laude. She holds an MA in Economics from University of California at Berkeley and an MPH from Johns Hopkins. After working in international finance at the International Monetary Fund, she “saw the light” and completed a postbaccalaureate premedical program at Hunter College. She received her MD from the Medical School for International Health in Collaboration with Columbia University, in Beer Sheva, Israel and completed her internship at the University of Massachusetts and her residency in psychiatry at Yale University. She came to Unity from Des Moines where she was the head of the consult liaison service at Mercy Medical Center.
