Biography

Mireille Martinez has recently joined CEDAR as a Clinical Research Assistant 2. Prior to this, she served in the Oregon National Guard as a Medical Administrative Health Services Officer, where she was responsible for overseeing the readiness of the medical team, healthcare facilities, equipment, and patient tracking during military training. Mireille holds a B.S. in Biology and a B.A. in Spanish Studies from Santa Clara University. During her time there, she spent three years working on microbiology research, studying the genetic basis of antibiotic resistance in both commensal and pathogenic E. coli, specifically through plasmid acquisition and transmission between isolates. At CEDAR, Mireille's primary responsibilities involve outreach and management of clinical trials focused on early detection cancer screening. Outside of work, Mireille enjoys cooking, discovering new restaurants, and finding ways to stay active. She is thrilled to be a part of the CEDAR team and is excited to use her professional experiences, leadership training, and passion for serving her community to help further the organization's mission.
