Biography

Lindsay DeWeese, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology. She joined the OHSU faculty in September of 2013, after earning her master's and doctorate from the University of Florida. Dr. DeWeese specializes in clinical imaging physics and research applications within the field, specifically CT dosimetry, CT protocol optimization, and dose monitoring for fluorscopically-guided procedures. Dr. DeWeese currently serves as the Assistant Director of the Oregon Medical Physics Program and as the Director of the Diagnostic Imaging Physics Residency Program, which began in 2020. She is the Physics and Research Representative for the Gender Equity in Academic Radiology (GEAR) group at OHSU. In terms of volunteer work, Dr. DeWeese serves on the Radiographics Physics Review Team, AAPM Spring Clinical Subcommittee (Director of Mammography Program), AAPM Task Group #343, ABR Diagnostic Radiology Core Physics Committee and as an oral examiner for the ABR Part III Medical Physics Exam. Additionally, Dr. DeWeese is a reviewer for the Journal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics and the Journal of Computer Assisted Tomography and is a member of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) and the Society of Directors of Academic Medical Physics Programs (SDAMPP).
