Joshua Squiers N.P., Ph.D., F.C.C.M.

Dr. Squiers specializes in the care of critically ill patients with severe cardiac, vascular and surgical issues. Currently, he is dual board-certified as an acute care nurse practitioner with specialization in surgical critical care. He is also a fellow of the American College of Critical Care Medicine. He holds a faculty appointment within the OHSU School of Nursing where he is the director of the acute care nurse practitioner program. He currently serves on the national content expert panel for the Acute Care Nurse Practitioner board examination, and on several committees for the Society of Critical Care Medicine. His research work focuses on the role of energy expenditure and substrate utilization during the course of severe heart failure.

 

In his spare time, Dr. Squiers enjoys spending time with his wife, who also serves on the OHSU faculty.
