    • Professor of Pediatrics School of Medicine

Dr. Nemecek is involved in research to increase the understanding of pediatric cancers and other diseases that can be treated with bone marrow transplantation. She participates in research collaborations at the local level with the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute and at the national and international level with cooperative groups such as the Children's Oncology Group, Pediatric Blood and Marrow Transplant Consortium, Bone Marrow Transplant Clinical Trials Network and the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research. A variety of clinical trials are available for bone marrow transplant patients at Doernbecher. Areas of current research include:

Transplant regimens for pediatric cancers Transplant regimens for immunodeficiency syndromes, genetic diseases and inherited blood disorders Umbilical cord blood transplantation Nonmyeloablative and reduced-intensity regimens of transplantation Prevention and treatment of transplant complications Long-term outcomes of marrow transplantation
